An LPC-Associate (Licensed Professional Counselor Associate) is a licensed mental health professional in the state of Texas who has completed a master’s degree in counseling and passed the required licensing exams. As an LPC-A, I practice under the supervision of an experienced, board-approved supervisor while gaining additional clinical experience. This means you’re receiving thoughtful, supported care with the added benefit of expert oversight throughout our work together.

Yes, it’s absolutely okay to cry in therapy. In fact, it’s welcome. Therapy is a space where you don’t have to hold it all in or pretend to be fine. Emotions are part of the process, and tears can be a powerful sign of release, honesty, and healing. Your tears are welcome here and the space is yours!

Absolutely—that’s a kind and supportive step to take. If you’re looking into counseling for someone you care about, I’d be happy to talk through what the process looks like and help you figure out if this could be a good fit for them. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

That’s totally fine. Family of Origin Mapping is just one option I offer—it’s not required. If you’re looking for individual counseling focused on anxiety, addiction recovery, relationships, or personal growth, we can absolutely tailor our work to what you need. Therapy is your space, and we’ll move in the direction that feels right for you.

Finding the right therapist is important, and it’s okay if it doesn’t feel like the right fit. If that happens, I’ll support you in finding someone who’s a better match for your needs. You deserve to feel comfortable and supported in therapy—and I’m here to help you get there, whatever that looks like.
-
There’s no pressure to come in with everything figured out—just come as you are. In our first session, we’ll start with a conversation about what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. We’ll also complete a brief assessment to help identify where you’re struggling and how I can best support you moving forward. You’re welcome to bring questions or thoughts, but it’s also okay to simply show up and see where it leads.

While ChatGPT can offer tools, information, and a place to process ideas, it can’t replace the depth, connection, and tailored care of real human therapy. Therapy is about being seen, heard, and understood in a dynamic, relational space with someone trained to notice patterns, offer feedback, and sit with you in your most vulnerable moments. That kind of presence and attunement just can’t be replicated by AI—and you deserve that level of care.

Yes, I offer virtual therapy sessions for clients across Texas. Online sessions are confidential, convenient, and HIPAA compliant. Whether you're at home, at work, or anywhere in between, you can access care that fits your life—without the commute.
-
Not at all—going to therapy is one of the most responsible and caring things you can do for yourself and the people around you. Taking time to understand your emotions, heal past wounds, and build healthier patterns often leads to more meaningful relationships, clearer boundaries, and a stronger sense of self. It’s not selfish—it’s self-aware.
Therapy from Start to Finish

When you reach out through my contact form, I’ll get back to you within 1–2 business days for a free 15-minute phone consultation. If we decide to move forward, I’ll send you secure online forms to complete before our first session. We’ll meet virtually or in person, and in that first session, we’ll talk through what’s bringing you in and how I can best support you.
Throughout our work together, I’ll use a mix of approaches—like ACT, CBT, Psychodynamic, and Emotionally Focused Therapy—tailored to your needs. Some sessions may focus on deeper insight, others on building practical tools.

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and it’s normal for your needs to shift over time. I draw from a range of approaches—like CBT, ACT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic work—so we can find what works best for you. If something isn’t resonating, you’re always encouraged to speak up. You won’t hurt my feelings—in fact, it helps us work better together. We’ll check in regularly about what’s working, what’s not, and adjust as needed. Therapy should feel supportive and collaborative, and I’m here to make sure it stays that way every step of the journey.

Ending therapy can be a meaningful part of the process—not a goodbye, but a transition. We’ll talk together about when it feels like the right time to wrap up, whether that’s after reaching certain goals or feeling more stable and grounded in your daily life. I typically approach termination gradually, giving us time to reflect on your growth, highlight what’s been helpful, and discuss how you’ll continue supporting yourself moving forward. I also have an open-door policy—if something comes up down the road, you’re always welcome to return. Therapy isn’t meant to last forever, but the work you’ve done here will. Our time together is about equipping you to trust yourself, relate differently to your past, and move forward with greater clarity and self-connection. When we reach that place, it’s not the end—it’s a success.
